Bio
Alexander Schroeder, (aka DJ Bossa Nova), grew up playing in the sands of Arizona listening to R&B and Hip-Hop artists like Jay-Z and Rock music by the Foo Fighters, Incubus, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Born in NYC, Bossa Nova took to the streets of Spanish Harlem as a young and ambitious little boy before moving out west. He was introduced to house music at the age of 17 and his passion was born. If not bobbing his head to the beat of his iPod; Bossa is most likely on the turntables breaking a sweat to the rhythm of his latest mashup remix. Taught by one of the Hip-Hop industries well-known producers and an international scratch champion, DJ Swift, you can often find the two collaborating on new tracks. DJ Bossa Nova produces weekly mini-mixes for his friends and fans to download for FREE, while maintaining residencies in both Hollywood and Santa Monica. This Southern California native sprouts from his roots in the rave scene. As a weekend warrior in the rave/club scene, he naturally found his calling within the EDM community
